  1. The product was received in excellent condition. Product was received a couple days past the suggested delivery time. Rating: 4 / 5

  2. “All About Hedge Funds” is lucid enough for beginners, sophisticated enough for those in the know, and written with a clarity and intelligence rare in the world of money books. Jaeger avoids hype while providing plenty of insight into this often misunderstood investment tool. Rating: 5 / 5

  3. In working for a fund of hedge funds (similar to the author) I found this book to be very accurate. It’s a great overview of the industry (particularly from the fund of funds side). I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a good overview of the business. Rating: 4 / 5

  4. This is a very basic introduction to equity hedge fund investing. the portion of the title “The Easy Way to Get Started” is probably a bit misleading – it is the equivalent to a “Dummies” level book on hedge funds – but written in a bit more serious tone. The information is pertty good – if getting somewhat dated given current events.

I find it interesting that the author almost predicts the current hedge fund debate when this was written back in 2002. He also makes it clear that in his opinion, more regulation doesn’t necessarily mean less risk.

The book is good for the first timer in the space, or someone who is trying to get a basic understanding of what a hedge fund is and what equity hedge funds do. Rating: 4 / 5

  5. This book was what I was looking for. It’s a nice introduction to hedge funds and the industry. The book does an excellent job of providing the information in complete and concise detail. I bought my copy used so I’m even more happy with it. Rating: 5 / 5
